The objectives of the Union County Pioneers are to identify the earliest pioneers to the county by recognizing their descendants. There are two levels to the Union County Pioneers.

The GOLD level is for ancestors proven to have resided in the present day boundaries of Union County by 31 December 1840. The SILVER level is for ancestors proven to have resided in the present day boundaries of Union County between 1 January 1841 and 31 December 1850.

You must be a member of the Union County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society.

2012 Union County Pioneer Banquet Pioneer Program

Any member of Union County Chapter, OGS who is a direct descendant, or a collateral relative, of any person with Union County, Ohio ties who served in the Civil War (1861-1865), for the Union or the Confederacy, is eligible to become a member of The Civil War Families of Union County Ohio (CWFUCO).

The person must have lived or died in Union County Ohio. Service is not limited to an Ohio outfit.
